Are we making too many unrealistic demands on the government?

The government has already begun reviewing and improving policies related to employment, housing and healthcare. But how can Singaporeans avoid piling unrealistic demands on the government? Would we be worse off if the government is forced to apply band-aid solutions to complex problems or flip-flop policies to stave off populist pressures?
