Lawyer, SMU don appointed judicial commissioners

SMU Professor of Law (Practice) George Wei, 58, and Edmund Leow, 50, a managing principal of law firm Baker & Mackenzie, have been appointed judicial commissioners of the High Court for a year. The Prime Minister's Office said that the appointment was made by President Tony Tan, who acted in his discretion and in concurrence with the advice of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
