Commenting on the appointment of former Cabinet Minister Mr Lim Boon Heng as the new chairman of Temasek Holdings, SMU Associate Professor of Law Eugene Tan said that "the change doesn't signal a shift in investment strategy. It stands for continuity. Given that Mr. Lim doesn't have an investment background, he will leave the investment decisions to the investment professionals."
