S'pore inflation expectations ease further: SInDEx

Singaporeans continue to expect a slowdown in the pace of price increases, going by the latest findings of the SKBI-MasterCard Singapore Index of Inflation Expectations (SInDEx). This is the lowest rate recorded since the inflation expectations index was first started by the SMU Sim Kee Boon Institute for Financial Economics (SKBI) in September 2011. The decline comes after Singapore's headline inflation rate fell to a three-year low of 1.5 per cent in April and stayed low at 1.6 percent in May.
