With outstanding grades, strong leadership skills, and lots of heart, Malaysian Sharon Phoon and three other international SMU MBA students were each awarded the MasterCard MBA Scholarship for Women 2013. Unlike in the past two years, where two recipients were selected, as per the agreement with SMU, MasterCard decided to allow for four recipients this year. This was in response to the number of excellent applications this year. Sharon shared that the "recognition will further motivate [her] to serve more people in [her] community and beyond.”
