PM Lee said Low Thia Kiang’s move not to investigate the dispute is troubling

SMU Associate Professor of Law Eugene Tan observed that Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had made it clear last Friday that one party was to be blamed for the hawker centre dispute between the Workers’ Party and the National Environment Agency. He said PM Lee’s statement reflected his wish to see Singaporeans judging the Workers’ Party with the same yardstick it uses for the PAP. He believed that the dispute would go on for a while, as the Workers’ Party is expected to continue to reiterate its stand on the matter.
