Political observer: Low Thia Kiang wants to reconcile, yet does not want to concede defeat

On the hawker centre cleaning saga, SMU Associate Professor of Law Eugene Tan said that with Worker’s Party chief Low Thia Kiang’s decision not to further aggravate the dispute, the ball is now back in the court of Minister of Environment and Water Resources Vivian Balakrishnan. He added that Low’s reconciliatory tone was a move to win the hearts of voters.
