Excerpts from Sherman Ong’s film Tickets, which was part of the award-winning 2009 Singapore Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, was screened at a forum called ‘Producing Chinese Cinema in the 21st Century’ organised by SMU School of Social Sciences earlier this week. The film presented how Singapore’s migrations led to its identity and how Singaporeans have been projecting themselves in the international market.
