SMU undergraduate Terence Chua spoke about how money-making had been his biggest pursuit since he was a young boy and the conviction that drives him and is deeply rooted. Without any culture of investing among his family or friends, his first strides into the investing world were lonely and fraught with errors. Now a member of the SMU E.y.E. Investment Club, Mr Chua uses an investment strategy in selecting companies based on free cashflow. He takes a leverage position of 10 times his capital when he trades and allays the risk with a strict stop-loss policy.
