The SMU Malay Language and Cultural Club (Persadamu) will be presenting a musical with a retrospective theme entitled “Maisonette #12-01” on 8 June at LaSalle College of the Arts. It will explore Malay issues in the ‘90s era, particularly touching on family relations and Malay beliefs through two families. According to Persadamu President Fathin Hanani Mas’ Ali, it was written by Agnes Christian and directed by 4^th-year SMU student Khairul Anwar. Popular songs from that era will also be played in the musical. Being Persadamu’s second theatre performance, the club is keen to explore bigger-scale productions. Tickets are still available and are priced at S$20.
