Over the past century, Mrs Wong Kwok Leong has donated $20 million to charity. Despite her contributions, she emphasized that what she has done was insignificant and she was merely doing her part. Furthermore, practising charity has resulted in positive karma for her. At the start of April, Mrs Wong Kwok Leong pledged $1.6million to the SMU Mrs Wong Kwok Leong Student Wellness Centre. She also gave the Centre a painting with the word “Enlightenment” on it, dedicating the spirit of the word to SMU students.
