Historia SG 2013 will have more Chinese History lectures

Historia SG 2013, organised by the National Museum and NUS History Society, hopes to increase people's interest in Singapore history. The programme includes an exhibition on Singapore’s “Narcissus Door” which includes areas like Hill Street, Cole Street, High Street and Funan. Formerly located at the open space where SMU now stands, the Bras Basah prison was a place where Indian prisoners were imprisoned in the Raffles period. These prisoners not only single-handedly built their own prison, but also built the foundation of Singapore.
