Universities, polytechnics and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) in Singapore will be raising their tuition fees. University tuition fees have increased for the fourth consecutive year since 2009. SMU and SUTD will be raising their school fees for local students by about 2 per cent, while NUS and NTU will raise their fees by 1 to 8 percent. As for international students and permanent residents, the four universities will raise their school fees by 7 to 17 per cent.
