Customer Satisfaction Index hits new high

Customers are more satisfied with the level of service they received in 2012, with the Customer Satisfaction Index of Singapore hitting a new high. The Institute of Service Excellence at the Singapore Management University, which computes the index, said the satisfaction level rose to 69.9-points on a 0 to 100 scale. That's 1.3 per cent higher than the level for 2011.

This is the second year in a row that the index has seen a significant improvement. It's also a record high since the index started tracking Singapore's customer satisfaction levels in 2007. The improvement was mainly due to the performance of the finance and insurance, as well as the healthcare, sectors, which stepped up their game to focus more on their customers.
