'Confessions' of a SAF soldier

Commenting on the Facebook page set up for SAF personnel to bond over army stories, SMU Assistant Professor of Law Eugene Tan said that people can sometimes get carried away with their posts. "The SAF is a fighting force, of which discipline is one of its hallmarks. The SAF Confessions could undermine the image of the SAF. On their own, the posts may seem innocuous. But put together, they may present a wealth of information that could compromise the SAF operations," he said. "Education is one way to explain and appeal to the good sense of the service personnel (on why they should refrain from dangerous posts)," Assistant Prof Tan added.
