In response to a question from SMU Assistant Professor of Law and NMP Eugene Tan in Parliament, Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Lawrence Wong revealed that out of the 64 athletes who have become Singaporeans since the Foreign Sports Talent scheme began in 1996, four have renounced their citizenship.
