Associate Dean (Curriculum & Teaching) of the SMU SOA and Associate Professor of Accounting (Practice) Themin Suwardy commented on financial research firm Muddy Waters' report on agricultural commodities trader Olam International. Professor Suwardy said that the changing value of these assets is recognised as income. The problem, however, lies in measuring their value.
