Self-proclaimed as “spare tire”, Poh Lee Guan was expelled by WP

Regarding Dr Poh Lee Guan's expulsion from WP, SMU Assistant Professor of Law and Nominated MP Eugene Tan said he was not surprised by WP's decision and that several people felt that Poh had only himself to blame. He said the expulsion of Poh as the Assistant secretary-general showed that WP takes a serious stand on discipline and that no one can surpass the importance of the party. He also said that, WP was sending out a message to those wanting to join political parties: that no one can use WP to fulfil their own political agenda.
