Poh Lee Guan expelled from Workers' Party

On the expulsion of WP member Poh Lee Guan, who made a surprise application to be a candidate in the Hougang by-election in May, SMU Assistant Professor of Law and Nominated MP Eugene Tan had said then that Poh's actions had damaged the party's image. He added that "[Poh's behaviour] also raises questions about WP's party unity and whether fissures are showing with its growing political prominence".
