The second satellite campus operated by the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) is being built on the grounds of Ngee Ann Polytechnic. The first is being built at Temasek Polytechnic in Tampines and both will be ready in mid-2014. SIT's 1,500 students currently use the facilities of polytechnics or partner institutions. By mid-2014, they will have their own buildings at the polytechnics. SIT President Prof Tan Chin Tiong, who was seconded from SMU, will step down in February.
