Ong Ye Kung off to private sector?

Responding to speculations that NTUC Deputy Secretary-General Ong Ye Kung, who contested in the last General Elections, is stepping down from the labour movement for the private sector, SMU Assistant Professor of Law and NMP Eugene Tan commented that it is "premature to say" that Mr Ong has "given up on politics". However, he pointed out: "Given that he was groomed to be the successor at NTUC, it may suggest that he may be considering that the politics option may be something he's putting on the back burner."
