Government launches websites to bust myths

The Government has launched a string of websites to bust myths that were circulating online. A new section on www.gov.sg answers a series of controversial decisions made by the Government. HDB has also launched a new website to tackle controversial decisions made by the agency. SMU Assistant Professor of Corporate Communication Michael Netzley said that these measures would only make a difference if people discussed them in online conversations. NUS New Media and Communications Lecturer Aaron Ng commented that they would help to correct “half-truths” that were circulating because of the lack of first-hand information.
