SMU Associate Professor of English Literature Kirpal Singh talked about his background and how he started writing. He described his poetry as “basic polities” and said that he writes with a mission to educate the sensibility of those around him, to expand the consciousness and convince people that in this morass of humanity, what is lacking is a little kindness.
