SMU Assistant Law Professor Eugene Tan felt that PM Lee is very measured in his speech, especially in issues concerning new immigrants. In his speech, PM has raised the issue that new immigrants need to integrate into our society but Singaporeans should also have an open mind to accept these new immigrants.
