Mr Zheng Shuangxi, a foreign worker from Henan, China, has been working in Singapore for almost a year, but he has never visited the Merlion and the Esplanade. Led by six student volunteers from SMU, he was filled with great excitement when he finally had the opportunity to tour these places of interest in Singapore with fellow foreign workers yesterday. Their experience was made possible by an “Amazing Tour” organised by the SMU Economics Intelligence Club for its Project Delta, which aimed to instil a sense of pride among foreign workers and enable them to better understand the bigger picture of their roles in, and contribution to, Singapore's continued development. Twenty-one foreign workers from China and India participated in this activity under the arrangement by the Humanitarian Organisation for Migration Economics (HOME).
