SIT Founding President Professor Tan Chin Tiong to step down

Professor Tan Chin Tiong will step down as the Founding President of SIT from February next year and return back to SMU. Professor Tan was seconded to SIT from SMU for three years and will return to SMU after his stint with SIT. Prof Tan Chin Tiong is also one of the founders for SMU. From 1999 to 2009, he served as SMU's Provost and Vice President. SMU President Professor Arnoud De Meyer said he is delighted to have Prof Tan Chin Tiong back in SMU to become his senior advisor to help nurture SMU's relationships in Singapore as well as to help SMU build a global brand name.
