Joergen Oerstroem Moeller, Adjunct Professor at SMU and Copenhagen Business School, and Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, wrote that the medium-term outlook for global debt deleveraging would be strongly influenced by what happens to the Bush tax cuts in the US. Whether the US decides to extend or end these cuts, the spectre of a recession looms, he said.
