SMU Assistant Professor of Law Jack Lee suggested at a Workers Party (WP) forum held last Saturday that more can be done to educate students on Singapore's Constitution and it can start as early as in primary school. The public preconception is that understanding the Constitution is the responsibility of the Courts and the lawyers. However, an understanding of the Constitution would help Singaporeans become better citizens and remind them that they need to respect the Government. Prof Lee's suggestion was one of several presented at the event organised by WP's Youth Wing, as part of a forum series called YouthQuake, and attended by more than 30 youths.
