Project Hello Stranger is a voluntary movement by a group of Singaporean youths who yearn to see a happier Singapore. They aim to rebuild interpersonal relationships in our society by infecting Singaporeans with the spirit of giving and love. The 19 young founders of this movement took to the streets recently to display a banner at the busy road junctions along Orchard Road to invite drivers to sound their horns and pedestrians to give “high-fives” to one another. This group of project leaders include 23-year-old SMU student Tan Yi Ning and 24-year-old SMU student Huang Si Hui.
