SMU Assistant Professor of Law Eugene Tan said that the anonymous letter was not an honorable issue for WP, and it did not boost the party image. However, Prof Tan remarked that the WP had approached the issue appropriately, and had avoided causing confusion amongst voters. He continued that the cooling day was necessary for voters to ponder upon their decisions. PAP has also stopped criticizing the integrity of Png since, in a bid to avoid turning off some voters. ?While Desmond Choo's campaign was stronger, it does not imply that he will earn more votes,? commented Prof Tan.
