Yaw Shin Leong's letter of apology to Hougang Residents

Regarding this incident, SMU Assistant Law Professor Eugene Tan felt that, just as WP is trying to put an end to the ?Yaw Shin Leong's saga?, this letter by Yaw has put the spotlight back on this issue. He said, ?Even if Yaw does not want to disclose details, he should at least explain why he left Singapore, why he has disserted his own party and residents, without first telling WP's party leaders.? He said PAP has criticised WP for not disclosing Yaw's incident when they already knew about it. If Yaw is sincere in helping WP, he should at least disclose in the letter that WP was unaware of all the rumours about him beforehand. However, Yaw did not seize the opportunity.
