The nine countries negotiating what would be the world's largest FTA are in the final rounds of talks, with high hopes of tying up most of the loose ends before their leaders meet in September this year. Giving an update on the TPP, visiting US Trade Representative Ron Kirk said that the plan is to "make as much progress on completing the text as possible" before the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders gather for their annual summit in Russia.
