Two teams yesterday emerged victorious in a competition for students to design the Neighbourhood Police Posts (NPPs) of the future. The winners ? from SMU and NTU ? will now work with the police to build prototypes based on their designs. The guest of honour at the grand final, Second Minister for Home Affairs S. Iswaran, said the competition was part of an initiative to rethink the design of NPPs, due to technological advances and greater societal acceptance of automated service machines.
