Follow-up to SPP's feud ? Chiam See Tong defends wife Lena by criticising CEC leaders who quit party as hypocrites

Commenting on the feud between the current leadership of the Singapore People's Party (SPP) and six former members of its Central Executive Committee (CEC), political commentator and SMU Assistant Professor of Law Eugene Tan said that Chiam See Tong is a well-respected opposition leader.  For him to issue a statement on the issue in his personal capacity, apart from reiterating the stance of SPP, could also be interpreted as an act to show his support for his wife, the 2 nd Vice Chairperson of the party's CEC.
