A new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme will be launched on April 1 this year to encourage lawyers to recognize the need for continuous learning in the field. Based on the scheme, recently qualified lawyers have to secure eight points equal to that of eight hours of learning activity, with four points coming from classes attended at one of 12 authorized institutions which include SMU's School of Law.
