Controversy continues as rumours are rife with Workers Party in-fighting; Low Thia Khiang: No split in Party  

Workers Party chairperson Sylvia Lim reckons that the Government should hold a by-election in Hougang as soon as possible, if practical circumstances permit. Her views echoed with that of SMU Assistant Professor of Law Eugene Tan, who made a comment on 20 Feb that the mechanisms for a by-election should automatically kick in when a Parliamentary seat is vacated.
