Analysts, MPs share thoughts on political pay debate

Analysts and two members of the House shared their thoughts in a post-debate forum hosted by CNA. Assistant Professor Eugene Tan, from the SMU School of Law felt that the debate was important, but there was too much quibbling about the figures. He opined that it could have focused on, for example, what fair pay is, or would be fair for the talent, for the commitment that ministers are paying. These are areas where he hoped public discourse would strive towards.
