Bank lending in Singapore grew 2.3 per cent to S$415.8 billion from October to November, according to data released by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Experts said the current low interest rate environment had helped to drive loans growth. Associate Professor Annie Koh from SMU commented that, "These bank lending figures show you that there's a property bubble in the making and therefore a need to slow down the loan growth targeted at the property sector."
