Seng Han Thong apologises for criticising SMRT staff's lack of proficiency in English

Commenting on the controversy, SMU assistant professor of law Eugene Tan felt that MP Seng Han Thong's apology was swift and sincere. “Mr Seng has offered an unconditional apology – he did not use the word, “if”.  Instead, he acknowledged that his slip of the tongue was the cause of public grouse and expressed his regret for this mistake,” said Dr Tan.
