At least 20 names have been submitted for the post of Nominated Member of Parliament (NMP) on the final day of applications yesterday, following Singapore's watershed General Election in May. Among the confirmed applicants are SMU law lecturer Eugene Tan, 41, and NUS sociologist Paulin Straughan, 48.
