Towards freer trade

Annie Koh, Associate Professor of Finance, provided comments on what would be the advantages and disadvantages of a Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade agreement for the Asia Pacific economies. She commented, “These days we are looking at globalisation not just in manufacturing but also cross-border service offerings as well as human capital mobility. So we need a new agreement to facilitate the effective movement of goods, services, financial and human capital flows. ”
