PM Lee Hsien Loong nominated Mr Michael Palmer to be elected as the next Speaker of Parliament on Tuesday

In view that Michael Palmer has only 54.53% of votes, which is lower than PAP's average votes of 60.14% during the May General Election, Assistant Professor Eugene Tan believes Michael Palmer needs to convince voters that he will try his best to help as Speaker.
