With the opposition eyeing Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC, residents think they will finally have a chance to vote

The last contest in this area was in 1988. But since the GRC was formed in 1997, there have always been walkovers. If the opposition were to contest in this GRC, SMU Asst Prof Eugene Tan says they will choose to highlight Mas Selamat's escape and the mother tongue incident to hit squarely at the two ?heavyweights? in the GRC ? Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng and Education Minister Dr Ng Eng Hen.
