During last year's downturn, hotels and tourist attractions here hunkered down and improved on their offerings or invested in staff training, with the result that with the economy looking up, they were all set to catch the wave, seeing their customer satisfaction score improving to 69.3 points this year, up from last year's 67.1. The food and beverage sector did not fare as well with only a marginal 0.1 point increase to 65.1. The latest Customer Satisfaction Index of Singapore (CSISG) was released by SMU's Institute of Service Excellence (ISES) yesterday.
