Clearing the air on judicial review

This is an edited excerpt from a speech given by Chief Justice Chan Sek Keong to second-year students at Singapore Management University's School of Law in April, and published in the latest issue of the Singapore Academy of Law Journal. The Chief Justice spoke about judicial review, which refers to applications made to court by private individuals to challenge the lawfulness of government action or administration.
