Courts do not shield govt agencies: CJ Chan

The courts here have no agenda to cover up what is wrong in the law, said Chief Justice Chan Sek Keong. He pointed out that nearly three out of every 10 such cases of government agencies taken to court since 1957 have succeeded. His remarks appeared in an essay in the September issue of the Singapore Academy Of Law Journal, based on a lecture he gave to second-year law students at Singapore Management University on 9 April this year.
