According to the Consumer Association of Singapore (CASE) it has seen a rising trend of complaints lodged against budget airlines, from 75 cases in 2007 to 156 cases for the first seven months of this year. In spite of this, budget air carriers point out that in the recent Customer Satisfaction Index of the transportation and logistics sector between April and July by the Institute of Service Excellence at SMU, while satisfaction levels towards airlines have dipped, that of budget airlines has in fact risen 0.5 points to 59.5 out of 100.
