Andrew White was teaching Islamic law and society in Melbourne when it occurred to him that he was in the wrong part of the world for his speciality. Drawn to Singapore's potential in Islamic finance, he is now an Associate Professor of Law and Director of SMU's International Islamic Law & Finance Centre.
