The need for more a transparent policy on immigration

The issue of immigration and foreign talent is a long standing one. In order to boost population numbers and grow Singapore's workforce, the government has actively embraced new citizens. Assistant Professor of Law at SMU Eugene Tan commented that the move to attract a large number of foreign talents is a reflection of the government's desire to boost Singapore's population and expand its labour force.
