Ex-chief justice is SMU's new chancellor

Former chief justice of Singapore Mr Yong Pung How has been appointed the chancellor of Singapore Management University. The five-year term will see him presiding over all major formal ceremonies involving the university. Mr Yong takes over the SMU post from former finance minister Dr Richard Hu, who was its chancellor for the last eight years.
